Obstacle Detector

Detects rockfall, debris, or vehicles on tracks to block train entry and prevent accidents.

Overview

The Obstacle Detector safeguards sections such as overpasses and slopes prone to rockfall or landslide by detecting vehicles, rocks, or soil intrusions, commanding a stop aspect, and preventing trains from entering the affected area.

The system includes a Field Control Cabinet, Intermediate Junction Box, Protection Release Button, and Insulator, and interfaces with ABS (Automatic Block System) and electronic interlocking for stable control.
