Obstacle Detector
Detects rockfall, debris, or vehicles on tracks to block train entry and prevent accidents.
Overview
The Obstacle Detector safeguards sections such as overpasses and slopes prone to rockfall or landslide by
detecting vehicles, rocks, or soil intrusions, commanding a stop aspect, and preventing trains from entering
the affected area.
The system includes a
Field Control Cabinet, Intermediate Junction Box, Protection Release Button, and Insulator,
and interfaces with ABS (Automatic Block System) and electronic interlocking for stable control.
Main Components

Field Control Cabinet
· Reports system status to the master controller and drives alarm/stop commands.

· Allows manual release by staff in emergencies.

Obstacle Sensing Unit
· Detects rockfall and soil intrusion and automatically issues a stop command.

· Receives signals from the sensing unit and routes them to the field controller.
